Disclaimer: I am a member of the Janji Corps Ambassador program, which means I get to tell you all the awesome stuff that Janji is doing. While there are benefits from being an ambassador including a discount, I do purchase the clothing myself and all opinions and words are of course my own.
Before I get into a deep review of these shirts, I must warn you…… Prepare for comfort! Janji has certainly got it right with the new season running tees, and of course your purchase aids others by providing water in much needed locations.
I am wearing the Ethiopia Ombre Running Shirt and the Haiti Run for Another Running Shirt – both $37USD. Both shirts are made of Janji’s special “H2GO” material – consisting of 65% polyester, 35% rayon for a super soft feel and a wicking effect, important for all the running.
Both of these shirts have a print, the Haiti Run for Another Shirt is all over the front – while the Ethiopia Ombre Shirt has the print focused on the bottom of the shirt. The print is not super heavy, so you don’t have to worry about the contrast affecting overall shirt performance.
In regards to size, I find them true to size. I got myself a size L to make sure it’s a little roomier in the bust, but I’m normally I can go either way between a M or L.
One thing I like about these Janji shirts is the brightness level, not only suitable for standing out in any race, but also essential when running in low light. Janji also takes it a step further and adds reflective accents – such as the back of the shirt, as a reminder for us runners to think of safety alongside style!
I’ve worn these out running multiple times, while they don’t feel like the majority of the tech tees on the market, Janji’s H2GO material successfully wicks away sweat, and most importantly doesn’t hold smell either – both after a run and after a wash.
Finally, it’s all about running for another – the Ethiopia Ombre Shirt gives one year of clean water to a person in Ethiopia through Janji’s partnership with water.org. The aim in Ethiopia is to give access to clean water through improved water access and sanitation. Did you know that 49 million people in Ethiopia lack access to drinking water? You can check out more about water.org and their projects in Ethiopia here.
In Haiti, Janji again partners with water.org to fight the water crisis. Approximately 3.6 million people here lack access to safe drinking water, and the purchase of the Haiti Run for Another shirt provides a Haitian with 1 year of access to clean water through water.org. In fact, they’ve already helped more than 50,000 people gain access to clean water – that’s pretty awesome huh? For more about water.org’s activities in Haiti, head over to this website and read up.
So what more can you want? An awesome shirt to run in AND the chance to help another. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #runforanother when submitting your awesome Janji outfit of the day on social media, that way we can all be pretty super together!
